Dr. Brooks Young opened Jayhawk Foot & Ankle Clinic in 2008, joining forces with many of the best primary care doctors in the Kansas City area by practicing in their existing clinics. Since Dr. Young’s establishment as one of the most highly skilled foot and ankle surgeons in the area, his patient-base has continued to grow. He is active in the podiatry community and frequently gives lectures at meetings with his colleagues.

He uses his experience and expertise to provide the best possible care for patients with disorders or deformity of the foot and ankle; whether surgical or conservative.

Dr. Johnson tailors his treatment approach to the individual and takes the time to understand a patient’s background and lifestyle before working together with the patient to reach goals of recovery. Always with the patient’s best interest in mind, Dr. Johnson stays current with the latest in both surgical and non-surgical treatment options for a wide variety of conditions.

Dr. Jason Anderson joined Jayhawk Foot & Ankle Clinic in August 2021. Dr. Anderson provides comprehensive podiatric care for all foot and ankle conditions, including skin and ingrown toenail conditions, heel pain, bunions, tendonitis, fractures, flat feet, diabetic foot care, arthritis and diabetic foot ulcerations/infections. Dr. Anderson enjoys his profession and building strong, trusting relationships with his patients. His approach to patient care is generally conservative with the knowledge and experience to know when to begin discussing more aggressive options. He understands the importance of education and prevention, especially in his diabetic patients.

About Podiatry

Podiatrists specialize in diagnosing and treating disorders of the foot and ankle. These doctors must complete four years of medical school in order to obtain a doctorate of podiatric medicine, as well as an additional three years of podiatric residency.
